The Dementia Society of Ottawa Renfrew (formerly Alzheimer Society) helped me cope and get through so many difficult moments of this terrible disease. To thank them and to help others, I put on this fundraiser every two years with some extremely talented local performer friends. All profits go to the Dementia Society of Ottawa Renfrew. The first one was in January 2016 and the second edition is coming up, Saturday January 27th at 8pm, at Orpheus Musical Theatre 17 Fairmont ave. They have so many programs and people who can help and I wanted to give back by getting that info out there.
Tickets are $30 per person, there is a cash bar, so 19+, hors d’oeuvres will be served, street parking available and wheelchair accessible.
It’s an evening of song for a great cause, with a silent auction and Dylan Black, is our wonderful MC, once again. All the info is on the facebook event page, if you have friends, colleagues or family, who would be interested in attending.
