#ILLBOK 4 DIFD’s fundraising event will be supporting the DIFD (The Daron Fund) foundation under The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Center.
DIFD is a youth-driven program focused on raising awareness and inspiring conversations around youth mental health. Created by friends and family of Daron Richardson who lost her life at the young age of 14.
DIFD is inspired by hope for a future where young people will reach out for help without fear or shame. DIFD supports programs and initiatives aimed at transforming youth mental health.
The event is titled, ‘Purple and Blues’ which got its name as a result of purple being the color representing DIFD and Blues as the style of music JW Jones is known for, who will playing live at the event. The combination of Purple and Blues also alludes to the mental bruising the Youth of Canada are currently facing.
JW-Jones is a 3 x Billboard Top 10 Blues Artist, IBC Winner and JUNO Nominee, Canadian singer/guitarist JW-Jones is known for his high-energy shows! JW Jones & Friends will be joined by the HOROJO Trio (featuring Jeff Rogers) who were just announced to appear at the 2019 Ottawa Blues Festival.
