Great Canadian Comedy Festival: Tom Segura

The Popular Outdoor Event Extends the Laughs Across Eight North American
Cities Including Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, London, Ottawa, Spokane,

Vancouver, and Winnipeg

(November 7, 2023) – Celebrating its fourth consecutive year, the Great Outdoors
Comedy Festival (GOCF) announced today that it is doubling down on the laughter and
good times by increasing their comedy and entertainment festival from four cities to
eight in 2024. Delivering a one-of-a-kind experience, the Great Outdoors Comedy
Festival returns to Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and Vancouver and adds Winnipeg,
London, Ottawa and Spokane, WA to the line-up, creating an opportunity for deep
collaboration while bringing even more laughter to fans and audiences from
coast-to-coast, and expanding into the U.S.

Reflecting on the journey of the festival, Brennan McFaul, Vice President of Nashville
based Trixstar Entertainment said, “GOCF began in Summer 2021 during what was a
very challenging time for all of us. People needed to laugh, people needed support,
people needed to work, people needed a distraction and people needed to be together.
We are so grateful that we were able to give people those things in 2021 in one market,
growing to two markets in 2022, then four markets in 2023, and now in eight markets all
across Canada and into the U.S. in 2024.” McFaul adds, “We have listened intently to
the feedback from all of the community stakeholders over the last few years and we are
so excited to share the festival’s evolution with everyone, especially the fans!”.
Committed to creating a festival environment in which everyone feels welcome, GOCF,
produced by Trixstar LIVE, has raised and donated over $350,000 to local charities
across Canada to date while they continue to strive towards creating a diverse,
inclusive, and safe experience that celebrates and features all forms of performance
comedy, from local emerging acts to superstars. The festival pledges to continually
evolve their robust green event practices year over year, making certain that they leave
nothing but laughter in their wake, while also improving accessibility efforts to ensure
everyone has access to the same festival experience.
With a vision of creating impactful events that make a difference in each community the
festival visits, Trixstar LIVE works to give back and connect in every market they exist.
Creating events with purpose and experiences that create change.
