Santa Shuffle

The Santa Shuffle began 29 years ago in Edmonton, Alberta to fundraise for local Salvation Army initiatives when local Running Room members decided to use their passion for running as a way to raise money to support the less fortunate in their community. In 2001, the Santa Shuffle became a national event with locations in every province in Canada. In 2017, there were more than 16,000 participants who raised more than $650,000. All proceeds from the Santa Shuffle go back into the community where they were raised.

Today, the Santa Shuffle is a 5km Fun-Run and 1km Elf Walk for all ages and skill levels. Participants fundraise throughout the season to make a difference in their community. On event day, participants are encouraged to wear their funkiest festive running attire for a day of laughter and fun. After the event, each participant is rewarded a finisher medal to celebrate their accomplishments.

The Santa Shuffle is held in proud partnership with the Running Room.
