I currently run a fundraiser (called Makeup for Lung Cancer) in partnership with Lung Cancer Canada. Since September 2017, I have raised over $16,000.00 for LCC by hosting a variety of public events and donating majority of my MUA earnings. I created this fundraiser last year after my mom was diagnosed with an aggresive form of lung cancer. Although my mom passed only 4 months after being diagnosed, I have been able to turn a very difficult experience into an important and positive effort.
On the evening of November 6th, from 6:30-8:30, Indigo Barrhaven will be generously donating 15% of all regular price sales to Makeup For Lung Cancer. I’m also excited to announce that for this event, there will be a professional balloon animal artist (Brad the Baloo Guy), a Santa Clause, and face painter to entertain wee ones, FOR FREE, while people shop. This is a wonderful way of bringing the community together, raising funds and awareness for lung cancer, while getting a great start to Xmas shopping.
